“I have been working with Jeremy at J & K Fitness for about 4 1/2 months and the results have been nothing short of amazing!  When I came to J & K I was already in decent shape from power hiking 4-5 times a week and eating a healthy diet,  but I wanted to improve my overall strength, with a special emphasis on my upper body.

Jeremy came up with a plan that revolved around 3 workouts a week for maximum benefit.  These workouts are tough, but Jeremy is there every step of the way offering expert instruction, encouragement and a sense of humor. The only real modification to my diet was to add more protein, which I include in powder form to my smoothie mix,  and in protein bars which I eat between meals.

In 4 1/2 months my weight went from 159.2 to 162.7.  Body fat started at 25.6% and is now 18.7%.  My lean mass started out at 118.43 and is now 132.19.  This translates to 13.76 pounds of muscle!

“I am 46 years old. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother.

In the spring of 2012, I did not like myself very well. I was very unhappy about my weight and eating habits. I did not have the energy to play with my 7-year-old granddaughter. I did not like how I looked in my clothes. I was very down and not my “fun” self. I usually enjoy doing things with my family, but did not have the energy to do fun things with them due to my weight and how sluggish I felt. I knew exercise and eating right is what I needed to do, but did not know how and where to start. I have been a member of several gyms in the past. I would go for a while and stop. I did not want to do that again. I wanted to find someone or someplace that would work with me one on one with exercise and diet. I never knew the correct approach to a diet and exercise plan. I would read magazines and books on how to get started, but never did anything but read the articles.

In May of 2012, I signed up for 8 sessions of personal training with Jeremy. The first visit was to do my assessment “the weigh in and body measurements”. My results were somewhat surprising. My weight was 154 lbs. and my body fat total was very high. I have never weighed this in my life. I was NOT very happy with how I let myself gain this much weight over the last several years.

Jeremy showed me what 5 lbs. of body fat looked like and had me hold it to see how heavy it was. This made me sick to know that fat was in my body. He asked how many meals I ate daily. I told him about 3 meals a day. He told me I was not eating ENOUGH. He said my body was storing fat instead of burning it.

He then asked me what my goal was. I told him I would like to get down to 135 or so and maintain an average weight for my age. He looked at me and said this can be done in 4 months as long as I stick to the diet and exercise plan. No one has ever given me this type of information before. We then went over the foods I like to eat so he could make a meal plan for me. I was so excited and ready to get started. My prayers were answered. I finally found what I had been looking for in an exercise program. It was a real person working with me one on one, not an article in a magazine or book.

My first training sessions with Jeremy were 3 times a week 1 hour of weight training followed by 30 minutes of cardio 5 times per week. By week 3, I had lost 6 lbs. I was so excited and surprised. Jeremy really knows how to push you to make you keep going, even if you want to stop and give up. He makes sure you are sticking to your diet and cardio.

On June 8, 2012, I met Kristin for the first time. We did weigh ins and measurements. My weight was now at 145.9 and my body fat decreased, and I gained lean muscle mass. From this day on Kristin became my primary trainer. She and Jeremy make a great team. They both have the same trainer-client relationship of keeping you motivated and focused on our workout. They cheer you on to keep you going.

I love my body and myself again, thanks to Jeremy and Kristin. As of October 14, 2012 I have lost a total of 14 lbs. My body fat has decreased a total of 19%. My pounds of fat went from 58 to 42.93 lbs. and my lean muscle went from 87.9 to 97.77 lbs.

Without Jeremy and Kristin’s help, I could have never done this on my own. I would still be at 154 or more pounds feeling sorry for myself.

Thanks to Jeremy and Kristin I can now do REAL PUSHUPS, lift weights, eat healthy, wear fun clothes that fit, and show off my newly toned LEGS! They are my HERO’s.”
